On nights the warming center is open, guests can pick up a bus from Parker Road Station to the warming center. Buses run from 6:30pm to 9:30pm – approximately once an hour. We also run buses in the morning to deliver guests back to the train station (or pick up new guests for day events) from 6:30am to 8:30am.
Our Mission
The Plano Overnight Warming Station (POWS) provides a warm and safe place for the homeless to sleep when the temperature drops below freezing. While our major objective is the prevention of death or injury, we also seek to provide meals, hygiene products, shoes, and clean clothing.
